Have you ever - been to Disneyland, Paris

It has always, always been my dream to visit Disneyland and I fulfilled my childhood dreams when I stepped on this magical land! I was at Disneyland Paris for their 25th anniversary and I got myself a 3-days pass at a promo price (£113). I would say if you are a Disney fan and keen in exploring the parks fully, 1 day is certainly not enough. However, if it's simply a Disney experience that you are looking for, you can always opt for the 1 day ticket.

If you are on a budget travelling like me, you can skip the Disneyland resort and opt to stay in Paris central. With that it means that you will have to either get to Disneyland by feet, train or taxi and the most common way is of course by train. To get to Disneyland From Paris central, you can purchase a single ticket (about 7.60 euros) from any metro station which will bring you straight to Disneyland with RER line that terminates at Marne-la-VallĂ©e — Chessy. You can use this one ticket to start your journey from any metro station within central Paris and transfer to RER A train line without having to  purchase a separate ticket for the metro portion of your trip.

We exchanged our printed e-tickets with standard Theme Park tickets for the use of the applicable purchased days upon entry at the ticket booth. We were also provided with two guides - guide to the theme park and the programme guide for that period of time in our preferred language. Disneyland Paris is made up of two main parks - Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. Within these two parks, there are also Disney designed hotels and shopping districts. There is absolutely something for everyone from big thrills to family adventures and fun with the kids.

Disneyland Park

Disneyland Park is split into Main Street U.S.A, Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland and Discoverland where you can find plenty of thrilling rides and experiences in Disney way and you will get to meet most of the Disney characters here! Disneyland park is huge and there is an average 30-60 mins waiting for every rides during peak times so prepare to spend at least 2 days at the park if you plan to make your money worth and get the most out of it.

There are some new attractions following a large scale refurbishment such as Pirate of the Caribbean, Star tours and Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain. Also, in conjunction with its 25th anniversary, there are new entertainments such as nighttime spectacular show - Disney Illuminations and daytime parade called Disney Stars of Parade which both are the highlights of my time in Disneyland! It is absolutely stunning and mind-blowing! Both take place here at Disneyland park just right in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle and I was already waiting in the crowd over there for about 1-2 hours prior to the shows just to make sure I get the the best view. Trust me, I wasn't the only one there.

Also, Disney Stars of Parade takes place at 5.30p.m. for about 12 minutes everyday and Disney Illumination happens daily at park closing time (It was closed at 11p.m. so the show was from 11.00 - 11.20p.m.). The timing might be different from time to time so it is advisable to refer to programme guide but Disney illumination show is always at closing. You might be concerned that you may not be able to catch the last train back to Paris central if you want to stay for the dream show, I can assure you that I made it back to Paris central by train (so did everyone else) after watching the entire show and if I remember correctly the last train departing from Disneyland should be at around 1a.m.

Best time of my life? Oh Hell yeah.
