Have you ever - been to Avillion, Port Dickson

We have been talking about staycation for a while and here it is! It was a rare opportunity that all of us were on leave at the same time and we decided to just go somewhere nearby for cuti-cuti Malaysia.

We were deciding between Avillion Port Dickson or Lexis Hibiscus in Port Dickson but we stumbled upon a buy 1 free 1 deal on Entertainer which offers literally pay one night and get another complimentary night in the resort.

Entertainer

If you are wondering how it works. You need to first subscribe to the Entertainer which currently costs only RM55 for the rest of the year of 2020. Search for Avillion Port Dickson under Travel category and click the button on the top right to reach the hotel booking inquiry form. Fill in all the details and click submit which Entertainer will then forward it to the hotel. What you need to do next is simply wait for the hotel to get back to you on the availability and proceed to booking accordingly.

We booked a two bedrooms water villa with savings of about RM1,200 for the second night. If you currently have not subscribed to Entertainer, it seems to be a smart move to just pay RM55 to save RM1,200 on your stay. Furthermore, there are many other buy 1 free 1 deals available at Entertainer which includes not just the hotels but foods and beverages as well as beauty services. I have been using Entertainer for a while now and it can really help you to save some money while providing more options for you to try new things at a bargain.

Before we took off to the resort, we had a quick stop by the mall to stock up drinks and some snacks.

Lucky King Bun Restaurant

You will pass by Seremban on the way and it is a must to stop by Lucky King Bun to try their curry bun. They have opened a second branch just minutes away from the toll exit where there is another main branch located at Lukut. The second branch is bigger and nicely renovated as compared to the main branch. Curry bun is their signature and there are 3 flavours available - Chicken Curry, Pork Ribs Curry and also Yin Yang which is a mix of Pork Ribs and Dongbo Pork. Other than that, there are other dishes that you can order as well.

Avillion Resort

We checked in to the resort on Monday and surprisingly it was rather crowded for a Monday. There was no issue checking in or whatsoever and then we were brought to our two bedrooms water villa.

I can't get over how nice the villa is with the window bed and the balcony facing the sea. Watch the short video so you know what I am talking about!

Our objective for this staycation is to just chill and do nothing. All the time wasted is time well spent.

We brought about 8 bottles of wines and 10 bottles of soju to entertain ourselves in the resort. The first night was a wine and cheese platter night and the second night was soju with ramen and kimchi. The mastermind behind the cheese platter was Crystal and she is really good at this. We bought all the ingredients ourselves and she made it fresh for serving.

We pretty much went all out the first night. We finished 8 bottles of wines and sang karaoke until 5am in the morning using the smart TV in the living room. And then what happened there stayed there.

The next day hangover hit before you know it. I was having the best hangover cure of having a cup of hot tea while staring at the sea and listening to the waves.

Avillion Executive Lounge

The executive lounge in the glass house is what makes Avillion Port Dickson so popular. The water villa room price includes tickets to the lounge for two days while we were there during evening (6 p.m. - 7p.m.). The lounge is free access for chalet and villa guests. Otherwise, you can pay upon entry and the price is RM38 per pax before 6pm and RM68 after 6pm for the exclusive sunset view.  The price includes two glasses of drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and some sweet treats.

We went there the first day at 6p.m. sharp and the outdoor sitting was already packed with people so we decided to visit again the next day earlier before 6p.m. Fortunately, we managed to secure some nice spots for sunset watching and we even have the whole outdoor lounge ourselves for pictures taking. We were also lucky to have Jace joining us that evening and brought us to the famous seafood restaurant- Weng Yin Seafood Village for a nice feast.

The sunset view from the lounge is indeed breathtaking.

Temasek Beach

Termasek Beach is stone's throw distance away from the resort and easily accessible from the villa. The beach is rather secluded and we went there for a quick picnic on the beach to celebrate Jason's birthday. However, it was short-lived as we were soon being attacked by sandflies. If you are going to visit the beach, don't forget to apply some sandfly repellents prepared by the resort at the entry.

Can't wait for our next getaway already!
